Marketing Association Names Women of the Storm Brand Champions
Group cited for positive impact on the city’s image
New Orleans, LA, May 2, 2006 -
Because the image of New Orleans is so critical to the rebuilding of
our city after Hurricane Katrina, The New Orleans Chapter of the
American Marketing Association (AMA) has created an award to recognize
the person or persons that have been the best stewards of the New
Orleans brand during the past 8 months.
Women of the Storm was selected as the AMA’s 2006 Brand Champion, the first to receive the award.
The Brand Champion award is part of AMA’s Brand New Orleans initiative,
for which New Orleans marketing professionals are working together to
identify and analyze the challenges that are facing the New Orleans
brand immediately post Hurricane Katrina and beyond.
