Sunday, May 07, 2006
From staff reports

Verna Landrieu, wife of former New Orleans Mayor Moon Landrieu and mother of U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu and Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, was among four women inducted into the Louisiana Center for Women and Government Hall of Fame on Saturday in New Orleans.

The Katrina Krewe and Women of the Storm, two groups that have played key roles in recovery efforts since Hurricane Katrina, also were honored at a ceremony sponsored by the center, which is based at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.
